Camo Jeans with Pink and Yellow

FINALLY!!!!! I have been searching for the perfect camo jeans that weren't too dark, but weren't too girly either. And, of course, the fit had to be perfect. Gap had a few good looking options last year, but the fit was never quite right. Old Navy Rockstars to the rescue! I ordered these online, and they were everything I wanted them to be. The best part is that this is the new mid-rise fit, so no more booty-exposure getting out of the car!

Camo and Diamonds

I bought this ridiculous "diamond" necklace as an option to wear during my bridal shower/bachelorette weekend. I didn't wear it, and I figured it would eventually go into the costume or giveaway pile. But something about this simple jeans and tee outfit was begging for some interest. And in some inexplicable way, the necklace doesn't seem so ridiculous here.

Striped Turtleneck, Fall Layers, and New Purse

If you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen this Pour La Victoire bag. I bought it in the middle of the summer, and was dying to bust it out for fall. I'm a sucker for a bag that mixes neutral and brights, and I feel like the only way to go right now is a satchel.

Now I'm ready to move on to a winter bag...

Navy and Red Stripe Rugby Shirt with Wedge Loafers

I was still feeling like I was a little lost wearing real clothes again on the second day of school. I pulled out this navy Kenneth Cole skirt, stared at it for a while, and then thought it could be cute with this old Gap rugby-ish polo. As with most shirts, it looked better tucked in than out. Then, to spice it up I put on a pair of white pointy pumps, but because they were leftovers from when SUPER pointy shoes were cool 10 years ago, they looked a little ridiculous. Running out of time, I tossed on these (kind of boring) Via Spiga loafers and pearl studs to play along with the preppy vibe. But you know I just had to throw little spikes and a whimsical bracelet in the mix to keep it interesting.

White Jeans with Camo Blazer

Day 2 of the Accidental Mini Take One Pass it On. The white jeans are the major pass on here, but the necklace and purse are repeats, too.

White Jeans with Grey Stripes and Crayola Accesories

This week accidentally features a mini Take One Pass it On. This is Day 1 of 3.

I spent FOREVER looking for the perfect pair of white jeans. I feel like every single pair I tried on had a transparent quality that looked cheap (and was not doing me any favors!). I don't love that these are cuffed, but I was thrilled by how thick the fabric is! I found these at a Gap outlet (recently) on sale for $19, and even my notoriously dark underwear was undetected under these in the fitting room.

Neon Fair Isle

I love this weird little sweater. It reminds me of how I used to shop and dress - I would scrounge TJ Maxx and the sales racks at Blomingdale's for gorgeous, fabulous, unique pieces. I had a whole wardrobe full of non-basics. It was NOT easy to get myself dressed, but back then, I had a few hours to put together a look. And good lord, did I have fun!

As we grow up, life gets busier and we start to narrow down what works for us, our wardrobes start to get more streamlined. This is a good thing, and helps us cultivate a more sophisticated, polished version of ourselves. But this goofy sweater - one that I almost didn't even try on - always makes me smile and reminds me to let my eclectic flag fly.
