White Pants Wednesday: Episode 2

This was a daring decision to wear all white to school! Fortunately, I did not have any lunch or marker related incidents.

White Jeans with Camo Blazer

Day 2 of the Accidental Mini Take One Pass it On. The white jeans are the major pass on here, but the necklace and purse are repeats, too.

White Jeans with Grey Stripes and Crayola Accesories

This week accidentally features a mini Take One Pass it On. This is Day 1 of 3.

I spent FOREVER looking for the perfect pair of white jeans. I feel like every single pair I tried on had a transparent quality that looked cheap (and was not doing me any favors!). I don't love that these are cuffed, but I was thrilled by how thick the fabric is! I found these at a Gap outlet (recently) on sale for $19, and even my notoriously dark underwear was undetected under these in the fitting room.

White Satin Dress with Black Accents

Now that it's summer, and I don't have to really be somewhere every day, I find myself often changing directly from pajamas to gym clothes and back to pajamas again. Not exactly exciting fashion moments.

So this week, we will take a look at the outfits I chose for our engagement photos. I tried to choose very classic looks - most of the dresses are ones I've had for a while and still love - with one silly fashion-y outfit thrown in. All photo credits this week go to Braxton Black (the terrible cropping jobs are all me).

First up is this white satin dress. This was a Forever 21 size medium that I had taken in to fit me. I did the super strict Paleo cleanse The Whole 30 for 5 weeks before the pictures to shape up my skin and avoid any face bloat - but the side effect was that my body shrank a billion sizes! The theory of The Whole 30 is that our organs are in a perpetual state of inflammation from all the garbage we put in it every day. It must be right, because I (unscientifially!) did not seem to lose any actual pounds, but all of my clothes were hanging off of me.

This dress was no exception. I had to wear a padded strapless bra just to keep it up! Anyway, I liked the faux bridal vibe, and I kept it simple with classic patent leather pumps.

SNOW WHITE

I tried on probably every single blazer/cardigan I own over this dress, and nothing looked right. Either the length was off or it was too baggy for the dress. I got frustrated thinking all I wanted to do was cover my arms (the dress has 3/4 sleeves), and then it hit me: my shrug! I bought this one is high school (you heard me!) and it has been an excellent emergency sleeve piece ever since. If you don't own one, I highly recommend a simple, snug one like this.
