High Waist Trousers with Pin Dot Cami and Shoulder Bling

It was really hard to find similar items to link for this outfit because many of the pieces are really old. The pants are at least 6 years old from Zara, and the cami is at least 10 years old by Ralph Lauren. The cardigan is the most recent purchase - on sale from American Eagle a few months ago - but it's not on the website. Hopefully, you are being INSPIRED by my outfits and not coming here for specific shopping tips...

Fancy Sweatpants for Nordstrom Trend Show

Not very timely post, but a great outfit nonetheless! This is what I wore to the Nordstrom Trend Show for Fall. This was outrageously comfortable, and I still continue to get compliments on these Vince Camuto shoes every time I wear them.

Neon Floral Shower Dress with Color Block Heels

It was becoming a running joke, how many dresses I bought and accessories I packed for my Bridal Shower/Bachelorette Weekend Extravaganza. I am very much a moody dresser, and I wanted to be sure I had options. I almost went with a much dressier option (which is now added to the Rehearsal Dinner pile of options...), but my 'maids convinced me to keep it more casual. In honor of the groom's last name, they all wore jeans and white tee shirts, so this dress was, indeed, the right choice.

I like how this Zara dress is kind of a play on the stereotypical shower floral shift, but with neon and built in mixed prints. I had been searching for black and white striped shoes, but found that these neutral/neon heels were even better! And for the necklace, I went shopping in Jill's Wall of Accessories.

Silk with Sweatpants and Gladiator Heels

This was my wild card look, and I kind of wish I has skipped it. With everything else being SO classic, I felt like I wanted one look to be representative of  Now. But I think I went a little overboard... This was cute in person, but the grey of the pants against the grey of the rocks and the grey skies just didn't look right. I also changed in the back of the car, so my shirt tuck came out a little awkward.

These shoes are knockoffs of the Extreme Dior Gladiator Platforms Carrie Bradshaw wore in the fist Sex and the City movie! Steve bought these for me when we first started dating, so I thought it would be a cute touch to include them.

Tokyo Dragon Tee and Milkmaid Braids

Zara is having another one of their mega sales right now, and that's where I snapped up this cute tee from (yes, that's my gingham bra you can see... sorry, mom...). I wore this out on a double date with Jill and our misters. We had about a 10 minute turnover from Bar Method to dinner, so I threw this on (jeans and tee, can't get much simpler). My hair was a disaster, so I quickly braided and pinned it up.

Leather Tank with Beachy Accessories

Last day of work clothes (though it doesn't even look like it)! I wore this on the second to last day of school. This is the faux leather Zara tank I wore as a layering piece before. Here, I'm wearing it more at it was intended. I added some beachy accessories to give it a more relaxed vibe.

Get Blazed: Blazer with Sweatpants and Adidas Slides

Here's a slight tweak on the sweatpants look I wore to work for a more casual vibe. I wore this shoe shopping - the slides are perfect for frequent changes.

Also: further evidence that a black blazer can pull together ANYTHING. Here are a few awesome ones in a wide variety of prices.

Sweatpants to Work?!??!

I was sure to wear this outfit on Dress Down Friday, just to be on the safe side, but I think this could be a perfectly acceptable work look in a more fashion-y environment! These are FANCY sweatpants, which can be deciphered from the contrast trim on the pockets and bow, the slim cropped fit, and zero evidence of elastic. Paired with a fitted shell (which is technically a workout top!), a relaxed blazer, and awesome heels, these sweatpants take on a chic, intentional vibe.

[Truth be told: I had to sub that day so when I changed into my chanclas and took off the jacket, a student earnestly asked if I was in my pajamas.]

Spikes and Stripes

I don't know what it is about these gold jeans, but they always photograph like they are just plain old khakis! Weird.

Anyway, this was from a day when the temperature decided to take a random nosedive in June. Thankfully, I left myself a few sweaters. This was kind of a play on a preppy look with a bunch of spikes for contrast.

These are officially the worst pictures on the blog! I'm sorry for this disaster, but I wanted to share this cute black and white combo.

Double Vision

I bought this dress on extreme clearance without trying it on, figuring for $10 I could just wear it to bed if it's awful. The fit is not great, but the print is so beautiful, I had to make it work! So, I tossed a long-ish blazer over it (my normal short blazers left an awkward amount of space between the jacket end and the seam above the dress's ruffle).

My little red shoes add to the whimsy.  But when I swap in a serious pair of black booties, the look takes on a nighttime effect. All you need are "office inappropriate" heels and a clutch to take most day looks into night.
