Camo Jeans with Pink and Yellow

FINALLY!!!!! I have been searching for the perfect camo jeans that weren't too dark, but weren't too girly either. And, of course, the fit had to be perfect. Gap had a few good looking options last year, but the fit was never quite right. Old Navy Rockstars to the rescue! I ordered these online, and they were everything I wanted them to be. The best part is that this is the new mid-rise fit, so no more booty-exposure getting out of the car!

Old Navy: jeans
Gap: sweater
J Crew Factory: shirt
Tieks: shoes

Style Stalking: Chambray and Maxi with The Budget Babe

This Dress by Number post by The Budget Babe gave me an idea to pair a chambray with my silver pleated maxi skirt. I haven't worn it yet, but I'm plotting... Of course, in this weather, several additional layers will need to be involved!

Canadian Tuxedo

I'm SO into chambray/denim combos! The polka dots on the shirt, ballet flats, and sparkly jewelry help it look a little less Cow Girl.

Go Together Like A Horse And Carriage

This is an old skirt, and it was in the To Be Tailored pile for a while. I love the look of this length, but it's impossible to walk in! I feel like Peg Bundy, both in style and in walk. I decided to give it one last hurrah before finally getting the snip.

What A Rip Off!

After a bit of a hiatus (wedding planning is exhausting, ya'll!), I thought I'd give you a twofer with this Day to Night Quick Change.

The StyleChicago events are always on a Friday, which always leaves me scrambling to change in between. This time, I decided that I liked my outfit so much, that I'd just swap a few key accessories to make it work. I knew I had to trade the flats for some heels, but I also decided the pink preppy belt looked too "day time".

And here's me super psyched about leaning on the runway.

WHEN SKIES ARE GREY: DAY 2

You can't really tell from the pictures, but this skirt is black with white and brown vertical pinstripes. The hoodie is an ooold J. Crew t shirt, and the blouse is my newest addition to my chambray collection. This one (finally!) doesn't have huge pocket flaps and is light as a feather.

LIPSTICK ON YOUR COLLAR: REVIEW

BONUS POST TODAY!

I never used to like wearing collared shirts. I always had issues trying to get the same shirt to fit my shoulders, boobs, and waist all at once. Most of them just made me look butch - which is kind of hilarious.

My mind started changing a few years ago when the Mr and I discovered the magic of Express's stretch version. And I fell fully in love when Jill forced me to enter J Crew after years of neglect and introduced me to the Boy and Perfect shirts! Now, collared shirts are an integral part of my wardrobe and I can't remember how I ever got dressed without them.
