Ripped Jeans and a Pretty Top

Oops, I seem to have had a Not-So-Conscious Uncoupling with this blog lately... This is my first year with a real classroom (being a resource pull-out and being a legit classroom teacher are TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS, people!), so my weeknights involve playing Sleep or Eat, and very little else. But Jill helped a sister out by editing some of the pictures she had of me on her camera, to make it a lot easier for me to get back in the groove.

These are from the last day of school last year, but this Ripped Jeans and a Pretty Top combo would still work for fall with some ankle boots and a cozy cardigan.

Style Stalking: Rumpled Plaid with Bows & Sequins

This post, called Fancy Footwear, from Bows & Sequins originally caught my eye because that's the sold out J Crew shirt I spent forever tracking down on eBay last winter! But what seemed interesting to me was that the shirt was clearly not ironed. I thought maybe Jessica was slipping up her game, but then I saw a few other posts with similarly rumpled shirts. The wrinkles are a styling choice for a laid back look!

Camo Blazer and Leopard Pumps

This is a Casual Friday Remix of the outfit I wore on the first day of school. I had originally imagined regular skinnies with this, but the slouchy boyfriend jeans seem a little more interesting. I topped it off with this camo blazer, and I'm very pleased with the way the boy/girl ratio turned out.

DO try this at home: Both camo and leopard are considered new neutrals, so mixing them together is a fool proof way of mixing prints!
