I have a well documented love affair with a good blazer. I buy them from all over, but when I know I NEED one that fits and have only enough time to go to one store, H&M has me covered. For whatever reason, I can always find a good fit (usually through trying on several options), plus you know the style and price are always right!

Van Halen Tee in the Boardroom
This is a prime example of a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Each piece seems like it could be a little too casual for work (a concert tee, a leather skirt, a cotton cardigan, leopard pumps) but when put all together with a pile of pearls, it takes on a suit-vibe. In fact, this is one of the most professional looks I've had this year!

NECK PARTY: DAY 3
Here's another pair of pants I wanted to give a last hurrah before being packed away. These are flannel Zara pants my dad bought for me when I got my first office job.
This necklace layering happened organically. I liked how the tassel looked with the high waist, but still needed a little more coverage for all that décolletage. Looping this super long, skinny necklace added enough of a visual to create the illusion of coverage without actually distracting from anything else.

LIPSTICK ON YOUR COLLAR: DAY 4
Yesterday we talked about how a blouse can dress up an outfit, but it can also dress one down. Here, I'm wearing (basically) a suit, which is way more dressed up than my job requires. But the chambray shirt and and booties give the look a more casual vibe.
ALSO: Collars always go INSIDE the lapels. Unless you are serving up some 70s realness for a costume party. Always.

*Pictures are a little rough. The mister graciously filled in as photographer and I didn't give much direction.
