Grey Shift with Coral Spring Coat

If I look fancier than usual, it's because this was my outfit for Report Card Pickup. I tried to be pretty straight-forwardly professional (for once!), but snuck in that cheetah belt for a tiny bit of flavor.

The most interesting part of this outfit is the coat. It is a children's Crewcuts coat I found at a J Crew outlet. I didn't buy it the first time I saw it, regretted it, and then miraculously found it again in my size! The color is gorgeous, and I love the playful/sophisticated vibe.

Are you guilty of raiding the kids section, too?

All Wrapped Up: Black Wrap Dress with Coral and Turquoise

I won this LBD way back in March, from Tanja's giveaway on her blog Every Day In A Dress.  I took pictures shortly after I received it, and then promptly lost that SD card. Oops!

Thanks, Tanja! It's extremely comfortable, flattering, and wildly versatile. I could throw this bad boy on with flip flops to brunch, or I could even dress it up to wear to a wedding. Here, I summer-ized it with some beachy stones in bright colors.

Play Ball

Although I bought this sweater way back in Fall, the baseball hem still keeps it right on trend for Spring! This is a little more matchy-matchy than I usually go for, but I kept the shoes neutral and snuck in the randomness of the yellow hair tie to keep the look from feeling too forced.

TRUE COLORS:DAY 3

The day I (well, we) bought these lavender jeans, I spotted a gorgeous lavender and coral necklace at J Crew and knew I wanted to pair the pants with this coral blouse. The blouse is quite over-sized, so I tamed it with this tailored jacket.

The earrings match the pants, but the random introduction of mint makes them less matchy-matchy.

GRANDE CHARTREUSE

Grande Chartreuse: monks who sell booze who you can't visit. Now you know.

Nothing super exciting about this outfit, other than the fun color combo. Chartreuse and coral red: you know you bought something in this color 5 years ago from J. Crew!

It Takes Two To Tangerine

Ugh, gross again. I slept 11 hours the night before these and was rocking a mild fever. But I didn't let my yucky disposition get in the way of busting out these bright, cheerful pants!

Come to Poppy

I referred to this as a coral shirt, but it's pinker than what you think of as traditional coral. Probably closer to poppy.  I wore this outfit to school on dress down Friday, and got A LOT of compliments.  My Mr. took these pictures at the end of the day, so the jeans are a little stretched out in the knees (ugh).

This outfit kind of just happened.  I usually have a plan either the night before, or at least during my morning shower. This came about during one of my famous epic clothing hurricanes where I try on a million things and the room looks like a bomb went off afterwards.

(And that's just on the bed...)

I worked out the blouse with the tank and jeans, decided I needed some pattern, so I added the floral shoes. I had originally settled on a silver necklace, but the look felt incomplete without a jacket. The gray jacket has huge gold buttons, so I had to switch the jewelry around.

It's super cute from the back, too.

You may notice that the shoes seem a little big. They were an excellent TJ Maxx clearance find for $4! Only one pair was available in 7.5, but for four bucks, I figured close enough!

And the sunglasses are very cute, but I rarely wear them because they are too loose and don't stay on my head or my face very well. They were an old Nordstrom Rack find.
