Style Stalking: Masculine Feminine with The Sartorialist

As a general rule, I am NOT into women wearing ties (outside of Isabella Rosselini, of course), but this little lady on The Sartorialist caught my eye. I think the little pigtail buns under the hat rectify the masculinity of everything else. Also it looks like that's a silk scarf, rather than an actual man's tie, which softens the whole idea.

Silk Polka Dot Blouse with Camo Blazer and New Purse

This is that $50 Nordstrom purse (now marked down to $24!!!) I posted on Facebook a few weeks ago! It is every bit as fantastic as I'd hoped. This is also the coat from Friday's post with the hood attached. Also important: this silk blouse is Joe Fresh from JC Penney and is probably still on sale in store.

Snowy day! Jill and I braved the elements for these shots, and I popped her hat on to keep my hair from going full on Drowned Rat.

How cute/easy is this sweater? I like that it's interesting enough to keep the rest of the outfit pretty simple. It's built in mixed patterns. Speaking of which, Jill and I have started our own little Theme Week, and our first theme for next week is Mixed Patterns.
