Denim Shorts and Over the Knee Leopard Boots at StyleChicago

Note: this is arguably the worst picture I've ever seen of Vered. Unfortunately, it's also the only picture I have of this outfit. Sorry, boo!

StyleChicago events are always early on Friday evenings, so it's usually a mad dash to get home, changed, and downtown in time for VIP cocktail hour! As usual, I had NO IDEA what I was going to wear: it was freezing, snowing, and still slushy from previous snow. I figured these boots ought to do the trick (with, no joke, two pairs of socks) but was at a loss for what else to wear. I try to let my crazy flag fly during these fashion events because they are certainly the best format. Somehow, the idea of these shorts with tights came to me and I made my poor husband dig them out of storage! I am very pleased with how the look came out, although I with the blazer was made of a heavier, more textured fabric. A black velvet blazer is on my wishlist!

Pretty Peach Dress with Mint Accessories

This is the peach BCBG dress I wore during my engagement photo shoot. Again, this was one of those times - several years ago - when I had no idea where I would wear it, but this this dress was so pretty and for such an insane deal (I'm fairly certain I paid under $30, possibly under $20), I knew it just had to come home. I normally reach for neutral accessories with this, but this time I went for a punchy mint.

Romantic Peach Dress

This was the last look of the night. I threw this dress on at the last minute, wanting to squeeze in as many outfits as possible! I had imagined using this look during the Golden Hour either on the beach or in some grass, but the clouds did not get the memo. (I had also packed a cute cutoffs and white tee number for a similar purpose.)

We wanted a picture in front of the iconic Chicago Theater, and Braxton suggested this last shot. How cool?! Braxton was way out of our original price range, but his work was light years ahead of the cheaper photographers we met. Almost double the price, but quadruple the quality (at least!). If you are in the market for an event photographer, ask for Braxton Black here.
